"Unveiling Siri's Upgraded Apple Intelligence: Expect Game-Changing Features in Just a Few Months"

Apple’s announcement of Apple Intelligence brought excitement for the future of Siri. With the power of AI, Siri is expected to become more useful and competitive with other digital assistants like Google. One of the key features of the new Siri is its ability to understand and answer questions based on the context of what’s on your phone. For example, if a friend sends you their new address, you can simply ask Siri to add it to their contact card without specifying which address or contact.

Although iOS 18 has been released, the full version of the new Siri is not yet available. Apple did introduce some upgrades to Siri with iOS 18.1, including a new design and the ability to type to Siri. However, subsequent updates like iOS 18.2 and 18.3 did not bring any major changes to Siri. It’s unclear when the complete version of Siri with all the AI features will be released.

According to reports, Apple encountered issues and bugs while developing Siri’s AI features, causing delays in its release. The company is now aiming to include these features in the upcoming iOS 18.5 update, expected to roll out in May. However, even with this update, Siri may still be underpowered compared to Apple’s vision for the assistant. The ultimate goal is to merge the traditional Siri tasks with the new AI capabilities into a seamless experience, but this integration is not yet ready.

Apple’s plans for a more conversational Siri, similar to ChatGPT’s Voice Mode, have also been delayed and may not be showcased at this year’s WWDC. It could potentially arrive in iOS 20, as late as 2027. Meanwhile, not all iPhones will be able to enjoy the new Siri features. Apple Intelligence is limited to the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the iPhone 16 series, leaving older iPhone models without these upgrades.
