Sales enablement is a crucial process for providing sales teams with the necessary resources to close deals. However, different teams have different needs, with some struggling in prospecting while others require assistance in closing deals. To address these challenges, Regie.ai, a company founded by Matt Millen and Srinath Sridhar, has developed sales enablement software that combines AI technology with human-driven outreach.

Regie.ai’s CEO, Srinath, explained in an interview with TechCrunch that their goal is to amplify human sellers rather than replace them. Srinath, a data scientist with experience at Google and Meta, partnered with Millen, a former VP at T-Mobile, to create a generative AI content platform for sales teams.

Initially, Regie.ai offered a service that used a fine-tuned version of OpenAI’s GPT-3 model to generate marketing copy. However, the company has expanded its product portfolio significantly since then. Today, Regie.ai provides tools such as an AI-powered sales sequence builder and “co-pilots” for messaging personalization and sales prospecting. Their platform aims to streamline phone, email, and social outreach workflows into a single platform, enhanced with automation and AI insights.

One of the key features of Regie.ai is its ability to analyze signals like website visits, engagement interactions, and intent data to determine the best next step for outreach. The software can decide whether AI should handle the next touch or if a human representative should step in, assigning tasks such as calls, emails, or social interactions.

While there is significant competition in the sales enablement software space, Srinath believes that Regie.ai stands out because it doesn’t aim to replace human reps. He explains that the industry is divided between AI software that promises to replace humans entirely and legacy software that lacks meaningful innovation. Regie.ai aims to bridge this gap by leveraging AI to handle low-value administrative tasks, freeing up human reps to focus on high-value follow-up touches through calls and social channels.

Regie.ai’s unique approach seems to be paying off, as the company has experienced impressive growth. According to Srinath, their annual recurring revenue grew by 300% year-over-year. To support further scaling, Regie.ai recently secured $30 million in Series B funding, bringing their total raised to $50.8 million. The funding will be used to expand the company’s team, particularly in engineering and customer success.
