Longevity Expert Peter Attia's Startup Emerges from Stealth, Revolutionizing the Financial Landscape

Preventing disease and promoting longevity are top priorities for many individuals, particularly those with significant financial resources. Biograph, a new player in the field, has recently emerged from stealth mode with a mission to redefine healthy aging and set new industry standards. The company is co-founded by Dr. Peter Attia, a renowned figure in longevity science and the author of the bestseller “Outlive: The Science and Art of Longevity.” Biograph’s CEO and co-founder, John Hering, is a prominent figure in Silicon Valley and a partner at Vy Capital, where he has been a major supporter of Elon Musk’s ventures.

Biograph describes itself as the world’s most advanced preventive health and diagnostics clinic. Currently operating in Silicon Valley, the company has plans to expand to New York City and eventually establish a global presence. According to their website, Biograph aims to collect over 1,000 data points from more than 30 evaluations to provide a comprehensive view of an individual’s health and optimize their lifespan. However, these services come at a price, with the Core membership costing $7,500 per year and the premium Black membership, offering deeper insights, priced at $15,000.

Biograph has secured funding from notable investors such as Vy Capital, Human Capital, Alpha Wave, and WndrCo, as well as angel investors including Balaji Srinivasan. While the exact amount of funding raised remains undisclosed, the company has garnered support from various sources. The inspiration behind Biograph’s founding came from a personal experience of cancer diagnosis, as Alexander Tamas, a partner at Vy Capital, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer following a check-up in his late 30s. This experience prompted John Hering to co-found Biograph and emphasize the importance of regular health screenings.

Biograph claims that more than 15% of its members have reported discovering urgent or life-altering health insights through its services. The company has been operating quietly since 2020 and is now actively seeking a founding AI engineer to develop an AI-powered assistant, as indicated on its careers page. Biograph is part of a growing trend in the longevity industry, with other startups like Function Health and Retro Biosciences also gaining attention and significant funding.
