Rentec Direct has added a new feature to its property management software that allows team members to customize email notifications regarding renter payment. Rentec Direct’s clients can customize their software experience with the new Payment Reminder toggle.

Email notifications are a vital part of our digital lives. They keep us informed about important updates, events, and communications. You can save time by organizing and managing your notifications. You can also track the status of orders, payments, projects and other important information without being overwhelmed.

We understand that each property manager or landlord has a preference when it comes time to receive email notifications. Rentec Direct allows you to choose the notifications that are most useful to you. With the new Payment Reminder toggle you can now turn off future payment reminder emails, or select a specific address for delivery depending on your workflow. This feature is particularly helpful for keeping your communications organized, as your portfolio grows. You have full control over your notifications.

    Online Payment Notification Options

Rentec Direct offers three automatic notifications that are related to online payments. This helps you to monitor your account status and the payment status of your tenants. Up until now, only 2 of them could be switched on or off.

    1. Send email notifications on payment failures — This option will send an email notification if an online payment transaction fails. If the tenant has closed their account or does not have enough funds, this option will send you an email notification.
    2. Remind tenants of upcoming payments This option sends an email to remind tenants that they have scheduled a payment. It can reduce missed payments and improve communication between tenants.
    3. Send upcoming payments reminders to manager This option sends out a reminder to each tenant who has scheduled a payment for the future to you or the property manager assigned the property.

The email inbox can quickly become overloaded with emails if you receive an email from each tenant that has scheduled an online payment. The Scheduled Payment Reminder toggle lets you turn off notifications of upcoming payment reminders. This allows you to disable notifications for all three messages.

    How it Works

By default, Send upcoming payments reminders will be enabled, and emails will be automatically sent to the first configured address between:

    • Online payment settings Enter the email address for notification of payments.
    • Email for Property Managers (for PM clients).
    • Email address of the user’s account

You can easily turn on or off all three automatic notifications or enter an email address to receive notification. This allows you customize notifications so that they work with your preferred workflow.

You can change your online payment notifications settings by following the steps below:

    Your Rentec Direct account is:

    1. Click on Settings
    2. Click on Online Payments under Financial.
    3. Change the email address for payment notifications or enter an alternative one.
    4. Click on Save changes

This handy tool can help you reduce digital noise and find the balance that works for your workflow.

I love the new notification options for scheduled payment reminders! It’s great to see that there are now more ways to stay on top of my finances. I especially like the idea of receiving notifications through email, as it’s something I check regularly. This will definitely help me avoid any late payments.

I love the new notification options for scheduled payment reminders! It’s great to have the flexibility to choose between email reminders or push notifications. This will definitely help me stay on top of my bills and avoid any late fees. Thank you for the update!

I’ve always found email reminders to be a bit overwhelming. But with the new push notification option, I can receive a gentle nudge right on my phone without cluttering up my inbox. It’s a small but much-appreciated update. Kudos to the team for thinking about user preferences!

I understand the need for scheduled payment reminders, but I personally find them a bit unnecessary. I’m more of a proactive person when it comes to bills and prefer to set my own reminders independently. However, I can definitely see how this feature would be beneficial for others who may need that extra nudge.

Great addition to the payment reminders! It would be even better if we could customize the notification sound for the push notifications. That way, it would be easier to differentiate between payment reminders and other app notifications. Is this something that could be considered in future updates?

This new notification option for scheduled payment reminders is a game-changer for me. As someone who often forgets due dates, having a push notification is a lifesaver. I can’t wait to try it out and see how it improves my bill payment habits.

I appreciate the effort to improve user experience, but I’m concerned about the privacy implications of push notifications for payment reminders. Is there any way to ensure that the notifications won’t reveal sensitive information about payment amounts or accounts? Security is always a top priority for me.

This update couldn’t have come at a better time for me. I’ve been struggling to keep track of my bills lately, and having the option to choose between email reminders and push notifications will definitely help me organize my payments more efficiently. Thank you for constantly innovating!

I’m glad to see that the scheduled payment reminders now provide more options, but I was hoping for an additional feature as well. It would be great if we could add custom notes or tags to each payment reminder to help us remember specific details or any specific actions required. Is there any plan to implement this in the future?

The new push notifications for scheduled payment reminders are a welcome addition. Now, I won’t have to worry about missing a payment even if I forget to check my email regularly. This feature should definitely make bill management a lot easier for me.

I love how the new notification options for scheduled payment reminders give us more control over managing our finances. Being able to choose between email, text, or push notifications is a game-changer. Thank you for constantly improving your services to meet our needs! #convenience
